2¼ cups flour
1¼cups sugar
¾ cups marg
2 tsp Baking Powder
2 tsp Cimamon
1 cup raisins
1 cup sour milk (or yogurt)
1 egg (beaten)


pre-heat oven to Gas 4, 350F; 180C
Combine flour & sugar in a mixing bowl
cut butter into cubes and add to flour mix
rub in butter lightly until looks like crumbs
remove one cup of flour/butter mix and put to one side or topping
add remaining ingredients and stir till all dry ingredients are moistened
Pour mix into a 9" square or 10" round tin
Sprinkle reserved crumbs on top
Bake for 40/45 mins

Can be served warm as a dessert or cold as a cake
