1lb Granulated sugar
1 15oz can condensed milk
2 oz Butter
1 tsp vanilla essence
¼pint plus 2tble sp water

1. Put all ingredients into a heavy bottomed pan
2. Heat over a med heat till sugar disolves.
3. Bring to boil
4. Continue boiling until it reaches 115C /238F or forms
a soft ball when small amount is droped onto a plate
5. Remove from the heatand beat till thick
6. Pour into a greased flat tin.
7. Cool and cut into squares
